Viscoelastic sound deadener with a butyl based adhesive. With an aluminum constraining layer and an unique composition
with suspended mineral particles it has been proven to be extremely efficient at the conversion of properly adhere to a
contoured panel. It can be installed anywhere including under hood. Comes  1 foot wide and is available in 50 sq. ft. rolls.

APPLICATIONS

CP1 - PERFORMANCE SOUND & HEAT DEADENER can be die cut to shape and placed onto the (typically at the sealer
application operation). CP1 is used to treat metal panels, partitions, ducts, doors, bins, panels, and so forth in Muscle
Cars & Hot Rods. It can also be used for ventilation ducts, relay cabinets, steel furniture, home appliances, sink units,
computer equipment, machine tools and many other objects that suffer from vibration-produced noise.

INSTALLATION

Use scissors, knife or die to cut CP1 to the desired size and shape before removing the release liner. Next, remove dust,
grease, moisture, and other foreign matter from the application surface. Peel off the release liner. The simplest application
technique is to bend the mat slightly and attach it along its shortest edge. Press the mat firmly into place, using a roller for
larger pieces. The roller reduces the risk of leaving air pockets, which reduce CP1'S sound damping capacity. It is more
pliable if heated with a hairdryer or heat gun. BEWARE! It gets hot! Heat likely won't be required if installing at or around
room temperature. We also recommend sealing all joining edges with 2" wide aluminized foil tape.
